Puy
du Fou
An excellent full day out. For children and adults of
all ages.
A theme-type park with a difference. There are events going on
all day. Each arena has a show lasting at least an hour. Go early,
there’s a lot to see. Do as the French, take a picnic,
they don’t allow picnicking in the park, but you can get
a pass out, and there are several picnicking areas outside. Ask
for a brochure in English if you’re not offered one, this
gives the times of the different events - get to the arenas early
to get a good seat. The arenas are sun- traps so take a hat (there
are people selling hats) and plenty of water.
The evening event is even more spectacular and is so popular
it has to be booked well in advance. It’s a long show and
gets very cold; take plenty of warm clothes and a blanket, and
maybe
something to eat. It is worth it
