well stocked supermarket, boulangeries, bank, tourist office,
garage, post office, etc., also swimming pool, tennis courts,

The
Bar du Lac, overlooking
the lake, is recommended for its excellent menu, reasonable
prices and very friendly staff. Lunchtime they do a set priced
meal and are usually very busy. |

A walk around the back of
the town reveals the river and the old Roman road which formed
part of the pilgrim route to St.Jaques de Compestela and the
beautifully laid out gardens that lead down to the river.
The tourist office will arrange a visit to the Chateau ruins
where the little church and subsequent tour has a quite revealing
history.
The bank and most shops are closed on a Monday, but the supermarket
is open, including Sunday mornings until 12.30
